Account and database protection
Matatan Nest uses account authentication and database-level access rules to restrict normal app requests by household membership, role and record visibility. Sensitive server credentials stay on the backend.
Private adult records
Records marked private use owner-based access controls. The optional Private Finance PIN is an additional screen lock. It is not a substitute for account security.
Receipts and statements
Uploaded documents can contain sensitive information. Receipt access is checked by the server and storage controls. Automated extraction requires your review before posting financial records.
What we do not claim
The app does not provide end-to-end encryption or zero-knowledge storage. Authorized backend and infrastructure administration exists. No service can guarantee that a security incident will never occur.
Protect your account
Choose a unique password, keep invitation links private, review member permissions and sign out on shared devices. Automatic inactivity sign-out is currently paused in beta; do not rely on it to close an unattended session.
Report a concern
Email privacy@matatantech.com with a description of the issue. Do not send passwords, API keys, full financial documents or another person's private records. We do not authorize testing against accounts or data you do not own.
