Who we are
Matatan Nest is a household planning application operated by MatatanTech LLC. This notice covers the app and beta testing.
Information we process
We process account identifiers, usernames, email addresses, household memberships and permissions; information you enter such as income, expenses, budgets, bills, shopping lists, recipes, chores, calendar entries and messages; uploaded receipts and statements; and technical information needed to operate and troubleshoot the service. Optional feedback may include screenshots you choose to submit.
How information is used
We use information to provide requested features, authenticate accounts, deliver invitations and recovery emails, calculate totals, process uploads, manage subscriptions and investigate errors. Avoid including unnecessary bank account numbers or sensitive information in uploads and feedback.
Shared and private records
Household records are available according to membership and permissions. Adult records marked private are restricted by ownership rules. A Private Finance PIN adds a screen lock; it does not provide end-to-end encryption. Household owners can manage access but do not receive another adult's password.
Service providers
Supabase provides authentication, database and storage services; Vercel hosts the application; Resend delivers transactional email; Paddle handles subscription checkout and billing. When receipt recognition or voice transcription is used, the submitted image, document or audio may be sent to OpenAI for processing. Retail-price providers such as Bright Data or ScrapingBee receive product lookup details and location information needed for the lookup. Provider use depends on enabled features.
Payment card information is entered through the payment provider's checkout. Do not send card numbers to us in messages or feedback.
Children and family accounts
Child accounts are managed by household adults and have limited access. Availability of an account feature does not establish parental consent. Our beta is intended for adult testers; do not enroll a child under 13 until MatatanTech provides the applicable parental notice and consent process. Contact us about a child's existing account or information.
Retention, export and deletion
Records remain available while needed to operate your account. Deleting an entry may be restricted when financial history, shared records or billing records must be preserved. Contact us to request access, export or account deletion; we verify account ownership and explain any retention that applies. Backups and operational logs may persist beyond removal from the active app. We do not promise immediate removal from every backup.
Cookies and device storage
The app uses cookies and device storage for authentication, session handling, privacy controls and display preferences. This notice does not authorize advertising tracking. Any optional analytics or marketing tracking must be assessed and disclosed before use.
Security and contact
We use authentication and database access controls. Authorized backend administration exists; the app is not zero knowledge or end-to-end encrypted. For privacy requests, contact privacy@matatantech.com. Do not include passwords, invitation links or complete card numbers.
Changes
We will update this notice when practices change and provide additional notice where required.
